I am attempting to program a Curtis 1228 controller in a Pride Victory mobility scooter the terminal block and molex connector have been sealed with a rubber substance. Has anyone seen this and been successful in cutting and removing the rubber to access the 4 pin molex for programming? It appears that a blank male molex was inserted into the female molex on the controller prior to the rubber being applied. I assume this was to protect wiring connections from the elements and to prevent programming beyond Prides parameters. Can I cut and remove rubber and male plug to access 4 pin molex with my handheld programmer?
