The car is run with a Sepex motor so needs field and armature controls

Hi I signed up to contribute to this, a home brew controller us something Ive been looking at using an arduino. There have been a few projects started that have never got there.
These components are getting cheaper and more powerful now, it should be doable

Im going to have a try building a simple controller. Have ordered an IRF3205 75amp Mosfet to experiment.
For the simplest circuit can I just use a mosfet on its own, with an arduino PWM feed on the pin?

Minimum you will need for a one direction controller is A MOSFET with a resistor on the input (people use 1K ohm I think) and a flyback protection diode to stop back voltage spikes from the motor, not sure which one.
